* Additional Origin Notes:

  • Clonguish lapsed after 1981 and was revived in March 1986 winning the SFL title a few months later.
  • Seán Connollys lapsed after 1981, revived youth (St. Bronaghs) in 1990’s and revived adult grade in 2023.
  • St. Brigids Gaels was originally Ardagh, lapsed in 1980’s, reformed in 2012 in youth and 2021 in adult too.
  • St. Helens was originally Éire Óg (youth section formed later was St. Helens). All became St. Helens from late 1989.
  • Forgney was formed in 1981 then disbanded and was revived in 2002. Joined with Ballymahon in 2010.
  • Ballymahon and Forgney clubs came together in 2010 to form the Ballymahon Forgney Ladies Club.
  • Ballymore club formed in 1982 but lapsed not long after. Club was revived in 1992 and entered competition in 1993.
  • Dromard club formed in 1980. Played in some years of the 1980’s. Disbanded in the late 1980’s and was reformed in 1996.
  • Granard club formed in 1982. Lapsed in late 1980’s. Reformed in 1990. Combined with Abbeylara in 1991. Disbanded in 1992. Reformed in 2023 as St. Marys LGFA, initially at underage and then from 2026 at adult grade too.
