Leinster Club JHC

4 Longford clubs had a total of 35Β games against 29 different opposition clubs in the Leinster Club JHC and Leinster Club Special JHC from 2000 to 2024. Leinster Club JHC competition began in 2000 and in the years 2001 to 2005 the winner of the Longford SHC competed in Leinster Club SHC while the runner-up competed in Leinster Club JHC. Since 2006 the Longford champions competed in Leinster Club JHC. From 2012 to 2015 a separate Leinster Club Special JHC was held in addition to Leinster Club JHC. In 2012 the Longford SHC runner-up competed in the Special JHC competition, while the winner competed in JHC competition. From 2013 to 2015 the Longford SHC winner competed in the Special JHC competition instead of the JHC competition. The Leinster Club Special JHC was then terminated and from 2016 to 2024 the Longford SHC winners competed in the Leinster Club JHC. In 2025 the Leinster Club Special JHC was revived and the Longford SHC winners now participate in this competition. This page covers both Leinster JHC and Leinster Special JHC competitions.

2000 Clarification: Ballymahon Gaels were due to play St. Brigids (Rochfortbridge) in their second round-robin game of Group C of the 2000/01 JHC competition. The fixture was due to take place on March 4th 2001, however that weekend turned out to be the period when a country-wide ban on all gatherings and sporting events came into place due to the Foot & Mouth crisis. There is no record of the game being refixed but there is a record of the other two teams in the group (Kinnity and St. Brigids) playing each other in their final group game in April 2001, suggesting that the game was conceded to St. Brigids.Β

2003 Clarification: In 2003 Wolfe Tones failed to field for their game vs Shinrone (OY) and were disqualified, thus conceding their remaining group game vs Delvin (WH).Β
