Leinster Club JFC
12 Longford clubs played a total of 50 games against 45 different opposition clubs in the Leinster LGFA Club Junior Football Championships from 1998 to 2025. Competition began in 1997, with Longford’s first participation in 1998. Longford clubs won the Leinster Club JFC title twice, St. Helens won the 2013 title and Ballymore won the 2020 title. Three Longford clubs reached the Leinster Final – St. Helens, Ballymore and Colmcille.
Of the 50 games played in Leinster Club JFC competitions, Longford LGFA clubs Won 26 (52%) and Lost 24 (48%).
Longford’s first participation in Leinster Club JFC was in 1998 when Rathcline (1997 Longford JFC winners) were nominated to compete that year. There is no record of any Longford participation in 1999 and 2000. From 2001 to 2014 the Longford JFC winner competed in Leinster Club JFC. In 2015 the Longford IFC winner (Mostrim) beat the Longford JFC winner (Ballymahon Forgney) in a playoff to compete in that years Leinster Club JFC competition. From 2016 to 2023 the Longford IFC winner competed in Leinster Club JFC. Since 2024 the winner of the Longford JFC competes in Leinster Club JFC competition.
Carrickedmond has played the most games of any Longford club in Leinster Club JFC (8 in total), while Rathcline and Dromard have played 6 games, while St. Helens and Colmcille have played 5 each.

2020 Clarification: Ballymore won the 2020 Leinster JFC title with the final played in June 2021 due to Covid-19 related delays. There was no All-Ireland stage to progress to in the 2020 competition which was curtailed due to the pandemic.
