Longford Kits

This page displays the most prominent home kit designs used by Longford County GAA teams from Senior to Minor over the past 100 years. There is no published record of exactly when or why Longford began wearing the blue and gold colours, though the first record appears in the late 1910’s. For part of the 1900’s Longford were recorded wearing the white and green jerseys of the Clonguish club (then called Clonguish Gallowglasses).

The artwork shown here was commissioned exclusively by Longford Gaelic Stats and illustrated by Denis Hurley (Museum of Jerseys). Each illustration is an artists impression of that home kit, complete with illustration of specific jersey features and logos. The year shown below each kit indicates when that design was introduced, or in some instances the period when that design was used. All images are strictly proprietary.
