Clarification: In 1986 Granard were Longford SFC winners but Clonguish (League winners) were nominated to play in Leinster Club SFC. We have not been able to establish the reason why Clonguish were nominated to compete in Leinster rather than Granard.

Clarification: In 1987 Carrickedmond were Longford SFC winners but the Longford Ladies SFC was still ongoing by the time the first round of Leinster Club competition rolled around. The draw earlier in the year pitched the Longford winner against the Laois winner in round 1. However, and almost certainly due to the Longford SFC not yet finished, no Longford club participated against the Laois champions (Crettyard) that year. There is no evidence of any walkover being granted, just a lack of any Longford club in the competition that year.

Clarification: In 1988 St. Annes (Ardagh/Legan) were Longford SFC winners and were pitched against the Laois champinos (The Heath) in the Leinster Club Championship. However there is no record of the game ever taking place. The Heath went on to reach the Leinster final that year. There is no evidence of any walkover being granted, just a lack of any Longford club in the competition that year.

Clarification: In 1991 Granard/Abbeylara were Longford SFC winners and were pitched against the Dublin champinos (Robert Emmets) in the Leinster Club Championship. The match was scheduled for Higginstown but there is no record thereafter of any game played or walkover granted, just a lack of any Longford club in the competition that year.

Clarification: In 2006 Killoe were Longford SFC winners but Clonguish (2005 Leinster IFC champions) played in 2006 Leinster Club SFC while Killoe played in Leinster Club IFC.
