Note: The first Longford Secondary School to feature in a hurling final was St. Mels College in the 1994 North Leinster Junior 13-a-side Hurling Final, when they were defeated by 2-3 to 4-4 by Clonaslee (Laois). The introduction of hurling into St. Mels was spurred by team trainer and former Galway hurler John Boland. In addition to the above title wins, St. Mels College also won the West Midlands U-15 League title with 4-4 to 1-2 win over Killina (Offaly) in 1997. All titles noted are up to end of 2025. This website does not record honours after 2025.

– Separate Vocational Schools competition ended after 2013 and titles thereafter all part of same Post Primary.
– When Longford won 1957 Inter-County Vocational Schools title, the competition included Leinster, Connacht and Ulster teams but there was no All-Ireland Series at that time as the competition was not recognised by GAA authorities until 1960. Twelve counties took part in 1957. This title is closer to an All-Ireland title than a provincial one hence is categorised as All-Ireland title on this website.
