Adult Club Changes

The following key changes to Adult football clubs occurred over the past 70 years:

  • Ballymahon + St. Munis Forgney clubs compete as a Group Team since 2022 via Rule 3.17(n)(ii).
  • Shroid Slashers club ceased all playing activity in 2019 and the club disbanded thereafter.
  • Ardagh St. Patricks + Moydow Harpers clubs merged in 2019 to create Ardagh Moydow. (📷 Image)
  • Young Grattans club was reformed in 1980, creating a third club in Longford parish. (📷 Image)
  • Éire Óg (Drumlish) + Ballinamuck clubs merged in 1969 to create Fr. Manning Gaels. (📷 Image)
  • Ballinamuck club was reformed in 1967, creating a second club in Drumlish parish. (📷 Image)
  • Ballymore club was reformed in 1967, creating a second club in Granard parish. (📷 Image)

  • Ballymahon Forgney Gaels is a combined Ballymahon & Forgney underage club.
  • Ballymore Shamrocks is underage section of Ballymore club. Not fielded since 2019.
  • Carrick Sarsfields is a combined Carrickedmond & Legan underage club.
  • Clonbroney is underage section of the Seán Connollys club.
  • Clonguish Óg is underage section of the Clonguish club.
  • Granard is underage section of the St. Marys Granard club.
  • Grattan Gaels is underage section of the Young Grattans club.
  • Killoe Óg is underage section of the Killoe Young Emmets club.
  • Longford Slashers is underage section of the Longford Slashers club.
  • Northern Gaels is a combined Abbeylara & Mullinalaghta underage club.
  • Shannon Gaels is underage section of the Rathcline club.
  • Southern Gaels is a combined Cashel & Killashee underage club.
  • St. Colmcilles is underage section of the Colmcille club.
  • St. Dominics is underage section of the Kenagh club.
  • St. Francis is underage section of the Dromard club.
  • St. Patricks Óg is underage section of the Ardagh Moydow club.

  • Wolfe Tones Óg is underage section of the Mostrim club.
  • Western Gaels is Shannon Gaels & Grattan Gaels combined.
  • Shamrock Gaels is Ballymahon Forgney Gaels & Southern Gaels combined.
