2000-2020 Dream Team
Longford’s Dream Team 2000-2020 was announced in May 2020 after a month-long competition held by the Longford Leader newspaper. Three players were nominated for each position (see below right) and the public voted on the winner for each position (see below left). Ten clubs were represented in the final selection, with Fr. Manning Gaels leading the way with three players. There were two each from Dromard, Killoe and Clonguish, and one from Longford Slashers, Colmcille, Mullinalaghta, Granard, Ardagh and Abbeylara. Brian Kavanagh from the Ardagh St. Patricks club played County football for Longford but from 2008 played club football in Dublin with Kilmacud Crokes where he won 2 Dublin SFC titles, 2 Leinster Club SFC titles and an All-Ireland Club SFC title. He was also named Leinster club footballer of the year in 2010.

- Full Back: Padraig McCormack (Killoe Young Emmets)
- Left Corner Back: Declan Reilly (Colmcille)
- Right Half Back: Colin Hannify (Fr. Manning Gaels)
- Centre Half Back: Diarmuid Masterson (Dromard)
- Left Half Back: Shane Mulligan (Mullinalaghta St Columbas)
- Midfield: David Hannify (Fr. Manning Gaels)
- Midfield: Darren Gallagher (St. Marys Granard)
- Right Half Forward: Paddy Dowd (Clonguish)
- Centre Half Forward: Paul Barden (Clonguish)
- Left Half Forward: Michael Quinn (Killoe Young Emmets)
- Right Full Forward: Brian Kavanagh (Ardagh St. Patricks / Kilmacud Crokes)
- Full Forward: Niall Sheridan (Abbeylara)
- Left Full Forward: Padraic Davis (Fr. Manning Gaels)
